For many young girls Sweet Sixteen is for the 16th birthday. It has been said it symbolizes the becoming of a woman. Of course, many believe it's an excuse to get all dressed up, have a lavish party and receive many gifts.
To my husband it means the final sixteen teams in the NCAA division Basketball Championships.
To others it could be a song, a movie, a firearm, even a computer language.
For me it represented my birth date, my husband's birth date and two of my children's birth dates. As fate would have it my other two children were due on the 16th but didn't arrive as scheduled.
Today Sweet Sixteen represents my new clothing size and I could not be happier. When I started Plexus Slim I was a tight size 20 bordering on becoming a size 22. Since May 6 I have gone down three sizes and lost 21 pounds. I still do a little "cheating", yet each and every week I experience weight loss.

My Big Reveal Too
I too like Jackie started with Plexus Slim on May 6, 2011. It has been by far, the easiest way to manage my weight loss that I have ever tried. Pour It. Shake It. Drink It. It’s that easy! The first month or so I did not change anything that I ate, I just ate less of it. Of course I did drink a lot more water and tried to make sure I ate before 7:30 or 8:00 p.m. My pink drink cut my appetite and also my cravings for sweets. As I lost more weight I felt better and had more energy. I began wanting to eat healthier and I did. I committed to Meatless Monday every week and started finding healthier alternatives for snacks and meals. Last week I even started riding my bike three times a week!!!

My Reveal - Typical Results
I started on Plexus Slim on May 6, 2011. Even though I thought about it each day, I never exercised. I really wanted to, it's just that things happened. My mother-in-law's illness, the rain, the heat, it just seemed like I could not get exercise into my daily routine.
I ate whatever I wanted to. Yes, there were a few days I tried to eat healthy. Overall, those were few and far between. Then there where a few days when I left the Plexus Slim at home when I was at work and vice versa.
Ah, last week, my vacation. This was my week of reckless abandon. I gave in to each and every temptation that presented itself.
The following are my "before" Plexus Slim photographs and my "after" Plexus Slim photographs (minus 1 week and few days of no Plexus Slim).

Why Do I Do The Things I Do? I Know Better!
I often wonder why I do the things I do, especially when food in involved. I call it being “greedy”, although I don’t think that is it at all.
When did I start over eating? Was it the way I was raised? I still remember my mother telling me, “Eat all of your food. You know there are hungry children all over the world.” It took me years to realize that “cleaning my plate” or the lack thereof would do absolutely nothing to help those hungry children. The cafeteria at school would reward the children who had “cleaned their plates” and punish the ones who did not.
I want to be thinner, I want to remain healthy. I want to change my eating habits. That is why I take Plexus Slim. When I weighed myself on June 27 (I weigh once a week on a Monday), I had lost 18 pounds. Certainly by July 4, the following Monday, it would be time for my reveal. Independence Day, how perfect.
I wish I could explain how last week unfolded. It is still just a blur.
Maybe I should explain that my husband and I flew to Dallas to visit my daughter/son-in-law and attend Kaboom Town. We left Saturday, July 2 and spent the week. I actually felt I could fit into the seat of a plane and be comfortable again. Clearly this was a good sign.
We arrived at lunch time and my daughter took us to, what she considered, the best barbecue place in town. Well, why take my little pink drink, I wanted to eat the ribs, chicken and potatoes. Besides, I would take the Plexus Slim before dinner. One thing lead to another and I completely forgot to take the Plexus Slim before we went off to the comedy show and a dinner in Fort Worth.
And so the theme for the week was set. There was Mexican food, margaritas, steaks, burgers, hot dogs, stuffed peppers wrapped in bacon, (it was the 4th of July, for crying out loud) margaritas, Thai food, Mexican food again, did I mention margaritas and more ribs. Oh, and the pizza and beer. Needless to say, I never consumed Plexus Slim the entire week. It brought back memories of those expensive meals I ordered and didn’t consume.
Monday, July 11, weigh in. I only gained a pound and a half. Yea! It had to be due to all the walking we did.
I still cannot believe I did what I did, as far as the eating. Why didn’t I take the Plexus Slim? Was it greed? Do I really like to over eat? What exactly is my problem?
I am now back on the right tract, drinking my little pink drink.
I really do look and feel better, even if I gained a pound and a half. I checked myself out in the mirror this morning. I actually have a waist beginning to form.
Why did I do the things I did last week? I don't know.
My reveal pictures will be posted on Friday. Clearly, I look so much better than before, even considering the past week.

Saturday Snack
During the work week I am very loyal to my new healthy eating habits but it is not always so easy at home. Jackie and I always discuss the fact that our eating is "controlled" at work since we do not have constant access to our kitchen pantries. Now if you are not from South Louisiana you many not understand this impending threat of our pantries. You see here in the south we always have to be prepared to cook a meal at any given minute i.e. hungry pod nahs that drop in to vay-yay (that's Cajun for friends stopping by to spend time together to talk and visit), celebrations (this happens quite often in the south since we use any excuse to get together and eat), hurricane parties (I am not talking about the drink either). Needless to say our pantries and ice boxes (that's southern for refrigerator) and freezers are always stocked full and ready.
Since it is always so warm here, well um hot I should say, we always have fresh veggies. I find that it is easier to stay on track if I have healthy snacks and food ready at all times. It is way too easy to just grab the wrong snack choice out of the pantry or fridge when you do not have healthier alternatives already prepared. What I try to do is one day a week concentrate on cleaning, cutting and preparing veggies for salads and quick snacks i.e. carrot sticks, sliced or cubed cucumbers & chunky chopped tomatoes. I also like to keep romaine lettuce, blocks of cheese and several vinaigrettes on hand for quick and convenient uses.
This afternoon I had a twinge of hunger so I decided to fix myself a fresh cucumber and creole tomato salad, but with a twist. I added small cubes of monterey jack cheese and dressed it with rice balsamic vinegar. This is a delicious, tangy, healthy alternative snack. I may have another one tonight!
I love the way that Plexus Slim helps have willpower over the wrong food choices and crave healthier choices. That stuff does my body good...lol...of course getting on the scale lately helps keep my motivated as well. This morning's weigh in revealed a 24 pound loss since I started with my little pink drink. Life is good!
